David Price looks terrible. He has no fighting spirit. If he fought Thompson again in May/June, I would predict another stoppage for the old man.

I just dont think Eddie Hearn or AJ come off very well when Hearn slates him. He doesnt need to make this a bad blood fight because Price doesnt play the villain well in all of this, he handles himself very well.

I think 90% of Prices problem is/was mental, in an interview Adam Booth said Price may of had anxiety problems out of the ring and may an anxiety attack in the ring vs TT - I think that would be an explanation for this "lack of spirit" bull ****. You have to have fight in you to get through the ropes.

IF AJ Price did happen (which I dont think it will this year) I would just want the best man to win on the night, I dont think Hearns comments help AJ at all.

Would certainly believe AJ would stop Price before the halfway point.

Price carries heavy hands but is trying to recover confidence which he looks fragile in that regard.

To throw him straight back in with TT was a bad call.It was a fight Price wanted but he should of had that talked out of him.Bad management he was mentally beaten 2nd time out.

In the HW division anyone can get stopped. It is about thinking long term if you have a setback when ranked around top 10-20.He can get himself decent money fights it becomes now about business and engineering those money fights.

Not that he isn't incredibly flawed, but he just hasn't been the same fighter MENTALLY since the losses to Thompson. I think that's his biggest issue right now more so than his flaws as fighter. He's a good guy, and I look rooting for him but more likely he's finished.

Yep... It's a shame because for all of his issues, he hits pretty hard and I think if his confidence levels were better he would still have a real punchers chance against a lot of people.

LOL, a bit defensive about your guy?

You thought he fit the thread title's description. That's hilarious.

Not that defensive. If you read my comments about Huggie, you'll know I won't expect him to do big things due to his lack of power, although he's only 20 and might develop into at least a decent puncher.
But to call him a big stiff idiot after the Rudenko fight seemed a bit harsh after coming back from an illness and taking such a big step up.

Turns out he wasn't talking about him at all :!:

I read in the "Heavyweights" thread in general that Price's team are looking to fight Delboy/Charr/Ustinov next.

For a fighter who's manager suddenly turned into a woman, Price is coping quite well.

No worries, just picking on ya, haha.

I agree on Hughie: don't see him as a future champ or anything but no criticism for his latest fight coming off the layoff, nor for the way they are bringing him along at this point.
