Liam Cameron just tweeted he's signed to fight Luke Blackledge (04 apr) in Blackburn (Luke's home town) for the vacant Commonwealth SM title. See this as a cracking little dust up, I'll defo be going along. Personally hope Blackledge takes it - he's a good kid whose come on leaps & bounds under Matvienko, shame a lot only remember him for his loss against Fielding - for the same belt. Thoughts?
Yer it is a shame....he had all good reports going into the Fielding fight and gets pancaked in a round.
Yeh he was doing well - was happily taking on fights against anyone (skoglund in Denmark was a major step up - close but correct pts loss & mads L****n in Denmark too, that was a massive scalp & big upset) thing is with the Fielding fight no body got a chance to see what he is capable off, fingers crossed. Case of rebuilding and come again, let's hope he can make it count..!
Its liam you might have heard the same stuff with other boxers ,am a big supermiddleweight i used to loose crazy weight like 12/13 pounds night before fights moving up a weight as gave me massive advantage am a diffrent fighter all together, i boxed tobias webb my last fight was so easy in there, but i picked up a hand injury early rounds so hope if anyone wants tickets give me a shout
Good stuff mate, be a ******* will this one - it couldn't be a closer fight to pick a winner from - both have different attributes that will make it an interesting one. Congrats on taking the fight too, there's a lot of young fighters out there that are just looking to stock pile a brilliant record by fighting gimmes - neither of you can be accused of that. Hopefully the winner will get a shot at the British , as for tickets I'll be meeting Luke soon enough to grab mine but good luck non the less mate
