Odlanier Solis vs. Tony Thompson II

I saw Solis "running" one time. No lie, a guy was walking next to him at the same speed. I was like, no wonder this dude doesn't lose weight.

 

Does anybody know the current weights of these guys, without the wisecracks please?

 

I'd imagine Ayatollah Komeni is licking his chops at the opportunity to expand the caliphate.

Wladimir Klitschko said Thompson was even harder to hit than Chris Byrd.

I suspect Thomspon will make gordo work too much then blitz him in the later rounds and have the ref jump in to rescue big boy.

This guy can't understand there's a difference between amateur and professional. Solis apparently has a hands off approach to training and a hands on approach to eating.

 

Im in Perth Atm, means I'll be up for big American fights but miss a lot of European and british fights. What time does this one start.

 

I originally thought Solis would realize that his big fight window is closing and he'd actually put in some effort here and beat Thompson.

After seeing their latest weights its obvious he doesn't. He's coming in a career high and 15 pounds heavier than their first fight. He's out of shape even for his standards.

Thompson is coming in 5 pounds lighter than their first fight. Thompson is taking this fight much more serious than Solis and now I think Thompson pulls out another decision win, barring some bad scoring.

 

If it was Thompson from 2-3 years ago, I'd have went with him

He is 43, age is going to catch up with him here, he doesn't even look like he's in THAT great shape. Solis is a disgrace but I think he has what it takes here.

The ONLY reason why Solis wins this is because he's more in his prime than Tony is.

They fought last year and Thompson won.. Solis is even fatter this time around, Thompson one the otherhand looks to be in even better shape. I think he'll win this even more convincingly than he did the first.

 

Wasn't that the case in the first fight? That's not to say that Solis won't win this time. I just don't think he's reliable enough to back him with confidence.
