He had Carlos Zarate, Olivares, Pintor, Zamora, "finito", Bazooka Limon and many others. Nacho, learned from "Cuyo".
Cuevas, was trained by Lupe Sanchez I believe.

...ive been learning so much,demps..:good its great i found this site awhile back!.finally been able to ask the questions i had,to someone with real experience...
Weve all seen ridiculous decisions in boxing..by supposedly expert judges, then immediately the loosing corner gets ****ed off saying that they are gona take it to higher athority or to the Commision and fight it !!!......my question..
Why dont they ever go through with that?..after a while they just leave it-as is
Its ashame fighters get a bad mark because of a judges (mistake,..or is it something else? :huh )..
Is it not good for fighters to go against the judges,,even though its clear the judge(s) were wrong?
Why is it we never hear about the outcome of the so called 'we are gona fight it'?....... :bbb

There is no higher authority really... you can petition the sanctioning body but they aint gonna do ****, other than MAYBE and i mean MAYBE order a rematch

Ok..that is just not fair..they should have something like 3 strikes and your out against the judges..why would you want a judge, judging if he ****s up all the time?
..and and at the very least erase that loss from the fighter (after sanctioning body reviewing the fight)..jaja..maybe im just day dreaming..
Sometimes after they read the score cards, your like-
What the ****!!......I wonder what fight he was watching?? :-(

I will give you an example, a HOF manager once told me, "what I do is take the judges out to eat, show them a good time, send a lady of the evening to their rooms, I pay for everything. I never tell them to vote for my fighter or mention anything". He told me he got a lot of close decisions that way. Sometimes a judge or ref knows who butters their bread and gives the benefit of the doubt to the house fighter. Other times they like going on these trips cos they are treated like kings, their hotel, food and trip are comp'd, so it's like a free paid vacation. In still other cases they are blind lol

Jajaja...i guess thats where the corners 'S&C ' guy comes in.....the 'Special Circumstances Guy' ...:hey...(just in case its a close decision! )..
....never thought **** like that still went on with some judges, thats an eye opener...im sure its rare and in the minority..(or maybe not! ..:huh..)
..so i guess its useless trying to correct an obvious 'robbed decision '

Do the top trainers get 10% of the take on a multi million dollar fight? For example I have a hard time believing Roach will make over 10 million when PAC fights Mayweather. I would bet that the trainers are capped when it comes to the huge fight.

..chek out the great fight MA Barrera vs. Juanma Marquez.(awesome technical fight!)...just saw it last night...listen to the judges score cards !!...Its ridiculous how they saw it!..Juan M. Marquez did win..but the judges shouldve scored it ALOT closer than that!..something should be done to clean up boxing and fire judges like that...couple questions..
In that fight when Barrera knocked down Marquez, referee didnt rule it a knockdown, eventhoug it was, commentators talked about having an istant replay ,or something similar in fights,as in football to review anything questionable..(i think its a great idea)
Do they have this already in effect in any state in the US?..
Also...i have some experience/ knowledge in exercise & nutrition..but out of curiousity,,
What kind of meal (% of carbs,rice,protein,meat,etc)..is given to the fighter?..and how many hours before the big fight.? (assuming there are no weight issues with the fighter )..:bbb

Some may but roach is personally capped at 1 mil$. He takes 10% but only up to 1 million dollars, so anything pac makes over 10 mil he doesnt take a piece of

Sorry IDK, I leave it to the S&C guy to deal with that, you might ask, s-c-r-a-p, dealt with or virus they know much more then I know. The only time I question the S&C guy is if there is a conditioning issue.

Hi Dempsy, mate just wanted to say thanks for putting all this out there, absolutely the most fascinating thread I've come across, didn't realise how involved things are behind the front line.:good
Am curious about your take on China and India, as a potential market, just gone through population numbers vs active boxers, and just doesn't add up, what do you reckon are the circumstances needed that would popularise boxing in these areas and open that market up? I can see India as a poor country as a reason, and maybe China have polital type restrictions but can't say for sure. I know Arum has been putting Pac in fights in Marcao China, is this something Bobs looking at?
Just seems like potential goldmine for good trainers and managers, maybe long way down the track but from reading all these posts about management its a long term investment.

I'm hoping to be an amateur trainer, I worked with the best in Barry Panell, so am hoping to pass on experience.
I am half chinese half Irish, achieved silver at nationals, hoping to develope others to achieve goals on a step by step basis.
