Everyone is missing the point, it's not about what a bunch of hardcore fans will pay for it, it's about what the majority of fans (who are casuals) will pay for it. Some casuals are just now getting to be aware the fight is happening but I don't hear any of them say will be getting it, the fight is too expensive. Also, so many casuals are Pac****s and Floyd haters I keep hearing them say " 5 years too late" probably parroting some hater media person, this needs to build a lot more hype..

They do this because most people watching the fight will be throwing parties. So 1 ppv and you get 10+ people watching the fight in 1 house. So from an economic standpoint, they would probably sell the same amount of PPVs whether they charge $50 or $89 as its affordable either way.

The reason for the high price is they know you idiots that idolize Mayweather will pay through the nose. You all complained over the years that he did not fight Paquaio, Margarito, Williams etc but whose fault was it that he didn't???? YOURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You carried on buying his BS PPV's like good little lemmings. Thankfully the majority of real fight fans STOPPED buying his trash & therefore Showtime wasn't making any $$$$$$ off him. Its obvious he's been pressured into taking this fight by showtime because they think they can recoup their losses.
Most of the real boxing fans I know wont be buying the fight because in their eyes Mayweather has robbed them of enough already.
I feel for Manny he's had to wait 5 years & suffered the libelous accusations of PED use by the Mayweathers that I truly hope he KNOCKS FLOYD OUT!!! I just hope that just for once Floyd gives his opponent a level playing field. Also hope Kenny Bayless & the Vegas mafia are not officiating
Lets have a good clean fight & may the LEGITIMATE best man on the night win

**** this price. There is something called price elasticity. MOther ****ers aren't tryin to pay that much to see Floyd get the **** beat outta him.

The fights which make the most money are the ones casuals are willing to pay for...

$89? I'm not even going to pay that lol...

Oh...wow, that's sucks so bad I can't even imagine. I feel a little sick thinking about how awful that would be. Maybe they'll offer it on the net or in theatre over there, small possibility.

The people that steal will always steal regardless of a reasonable price

Plus, why would anyone pay for a pay per view if theres a stream for $20
