Abraham has 3 stoppages in 16 fights at SMW, one was Jermain Taylor and the others were two nobodies. If he had any serious power then he wouldn't go 24 rounds with someone on the level of Smith. Groves blasted him out in 2 in his 14th fight and and 9 fight novice Degale beat him up and stopped him in 9.

Groves would box the head off AA and would nullify any of AA attacks with his movement

Yes, decent, nothing more. Built up a decent record at MW that on paper looks better than it is to the uneducated, spent a while avoiding any real challenges, but to his credit did step up and entered the super 6. Got horribly outclassed by Dirrell, Froch and Ward, he made Carl Froch look like Ray Leonard, and has now reverted to type by a defending a trinket against sub par opponents like Paul Smith in front of the moronic German boxing audience.

Groves blasted Smith out in 2, beat Degale, who smashed up Smith in just his 10th fight and went on to twice give Froch all he could handle. Now before you say it, yes, Groves got stopped in both his fights with Froch, but how do you think Smith would fare with The Cobra? I would honestly put money on Froch finishing him in the first.

It would be a great fight for GG he would outwork AA comfortably to a points verdict.

AA is a warrior for sure but at 168 lb a very, very beatable champion though TBH tough as nails.

But these are all comparisons Barry. And I really don't think the 2 losses have done George any good whatsoever. In his last fight he was talking about Douglin being a southpaw, when he beat a far better one a few fights before Froch. I think theres just a possibility that he's gone backwards, but if he hasn't I think he's capable of getting a narrow points win in Germany over AA,cuts permitting,or a more comfortable one in the unlikely event they fought here. But its not easy.

He didn't get outclassed by Taylor. He out-jabbed him most of the fight.

    Sorry, meant Ward, not Taylor.
