Abreu is standing off, looking to feed in his jab from outside. Cano is swatting up high and nicking Abreu with the hook and hurled-up right. Abreu is hit with a body shot pushing Cano's head down. Abreu is tagged at the end of a long high-arcing left hook. Cano jabs past Abreu's throat and plants a few rights on his nose as Abreu looks to get a steady counter jab pumping. Abreu's right glove is knocked back into his face by a stiff Cano jab. Right hands and left hook by Cano, bashing away, loading up. Abreu shelling up and working short uppercut body counters.

Round 7

Abreu is lowering his work rate even further. Cano is pressing in with combo, headhunting, knocking Abreu's dome around. Abreu sticks with the low-hands defense and continues to pay for it. Too much wasted motion early, those arms now very weary, too much to hold up. Cano is ducking in past lazy Abreu jabs and bashing up top with rights. BIG right connects for Cano past a loose 1-2. Uppercut by Abreu, desperate on the ropes, mouth hanging slack. Cano all over him. Accidental head clash. Abreu turns away, putting out a weak jab. Cano slams a right into his backside and starts to hook and chop away. Abreu holds on tight.

Round 8

Abreu is jabbing and standing off, posing. Cano walks through jabs and takes hard lateral swipes. Abreu holds and falls atop Cano, both down. Cano judo-flips Abreu off him. Abreu is falling in with teardrop rights into the guard and bringing in left hooks on the chin. Cano waits his turn and then chases Abreu out with combos. Uppercut and straight right by Abreu. Cano lands a right and hurts Abreu, driving him into the ropes.

Round 9

Abreu is mouth-breathing, turned aside, brushing Cano with light jabs. Cano is creeping in, steering Abreu into the ropes with jabs and then whipping the body with both hands. Abreu pivots off the ropes snapping out a few jabs. Uppercut inside by Abreu. Clinch. Cano is throwing very slow punches now, perhaps a bit spent. Abreu easily ducks a left hook and lands his own. Cano is blocking jabs and ducks a right hand just in time, spearing one into Abreu's body himself. Left hook around the upheld right arm by Cano, stuck right in Abreu's teeth

Round 10

Abreu is lacing the jab in through Cano's separated gloves. Abreu backs up and lets his arms dangle, waiting to pot shot with jabs and single pushpin rights as Cano nears. Cano is cutting the ring off, zigzagging in, not giving Abreu room to move. Cano slaps a left hook across the jaw of Abreu, lightly. Clinch. Abreu hits on the break, warned. Abreu is caught by a right hand over the top, hurt. Cano is too slow to capitalize. Abreu flicks jabs into Cano's glove standing upright and skipping away. Flood of straight rights and lefts by Cano nearly trapping Abreu on the ropes. Left hook by Abreu. Uppercut by Abreu, and another left hook. Cano is tired, walking into a right hand - and hurt! Abreu starts to open up with big hooks and chopping shots. Late hit after the bell from Abreu! BIG uppercut, jacking Cano's neck.
