.....not getting on CEJs case here..really the people I'm after are the uninitiated who had him down as a "killer puncher"....I'm after watching him flail away at Cho Choo Chudinov ...hitting him with everything in the kitchen sink...and in my view jr is no kind of puncher.

He should be concentrating on developing his BOXING skills and forget trying to knock people out. He is approaching it all wrong IMO.

Got to agree ,, the way he was able to hit his opponent almost at will ,the other night , it should'nt off been left to the ref to stop it

I really don't think he has the power to keep the higher echolon from out boxing or even out brawling him

He is no killer puncher, I don't think any knowledgeable fans claim he is.

People who think that have been deceived by the run of opponents pre-BJS.

    I still rate him though

Agreed, he and his father speak of this explosive power but I'm yet to see him hurt anyone of note. Even BJS who is very small for a MW wasn't properly shaken.

His evasiveness is very good and has a very 'different' quality. He should focus on that. Anyone else notice that he holds and hits a lot too? The ref didn't do anything about that or Chudinov so blatantly hitting the back of Eubank's head - disastrous

He has "flashy" defensive skills, yes, but he lacks the fundamentals. He needs to work on the basics or he will pay the price later on. His guard, his jab etc etc

Far from a one punch ko puncher but he goes for the kill and has serious stamina, chudinovs face was a mess and was put in hospital , had Saunders looking rocky at the end of that fight too

But should he be operating as an accumulation puncher at all? Maybe that style is all wrong for him. He should be a boxer IMO.

Medium puncher imo, I think he can hurt and stop non-iron chinned MW's if he throws a real power punch and lands flush. Not a massive puncher, not feather-fisted either.

Eubank looked like a MW version of John Ruiz in there the other night. Lots of clinching, pushing, hitting/holding and general fouling, as long as he fights at home and avoids GGG, and the elite of the division he'll be able to win a lot of fights with his rule bending.

Can you think of another example of a guy loading up with flush shots round after round and not budging his man? So little return for so many flush bombs? I find it hard to myself.
The Russian was tough, even very tough, but come on...he wasnt Jake La Motta.

Only watched the fight once but he didn't seem to be really loading up and landing particularly flush that often to me, especially early in the fight. Later on both guys were tired so their punches lacked a bit of power. When Eubank Jr did hurt the guy, he covered up well plus the fight did actually end in a stoppage.

You can't come to a conclusion based on just a single fight. Khan survived against Maidana.

I think if you asked Euban Jr's opponents they would agree with me. Medium power, not a huge puncher, not feather-fisted.

His punches don't flow from his stance like some of the finest boxers do, he has an awkward flow to his work, maybe like a Carl Froch type flow in that they put a lot together at one time but not the cleanest or most stylistic. I think he is a good puncher but sometimes he puts too much in to it and doesn't catch cleanly. I think his swarming tactic is good for him and I don't think his defence in terms of blocking is good enough for him to be a boxer either. He has all the attributes to be a pressure fighter and he will be more successful doing that.

Also your statement of him being feather fisted is absolutely ridiculous!
