He sounds punch drunk, not a good sign given his age. He is starting to sound like Freddie Roach

He could have been good but he fed on a diet of bums and its ruined him. in saying that, he wasnt that great of an amateur either, he was defeated by VIC state champ Kiren Davies and i defeated Kiren in the state titles semi final, i don't rate him that high.

Were you still going around when Nelson Ali was fighting at 64kg? Tomlinson was alright but as you said he wasnt outstanding as a amatuer. From memeory he boxed for NT at a nationals in maybe 05 or 06 because he didnt make the Vic team.

If he wasn't fed on bums he'd of been exposed earlier. I think Tomlinson was always going to be found wanting at the next level.

Nelson moved up a division the year i fought in the vic state titles. I have footage of him and a few others in the 64kg division because i thought i might come up against him in the titles, he is a very talented boxer indeed, what happen to the guy?

Good to see Tomlinson doing well now though. His style is better suited to the pros so it's no surprise he's kicking on when some of the good ams have disappeared

He just disapeared, I thought he would go real well as a pro as he definatly had a real pro style (sat down on his punches) and he stopped a fair few guys in the amos. He fought either Geale and Fletcher from memory at the nationals but from what I heard he was real lazy, Waste of talent.
