Ward was serious until he heard Chaves was negotiating with Froch. It's all about the money unfortunately boxing is more of a business than it is a sport. Chaves does whatever he wants it's obvious but he will be more credible IF he gets by Fonfara. Then the Chaves-Froch fight won't look AS bad. If Ward takes the fight with Froch, Froch will lose and the Chaves fight has a less of a chance of happening. If Ward vacates because he won't fight in UK Chaves and Froch will most likely fight for WBA Super champ. If Froch-Chaves doesn't happen Chaves said after Froch he wants GGG at 168. If only some of the things happen out of likely scenarios hey we got something to watch at least.

"Deserve"? No such thing for the biggest money maker at 168.

As a draw in the US,

Chavez Jr >>>>> Golovkin > Ward >>>> Froch.

Chavez Jr is in a position of power when it comes to fighting these guys.

Chavez Jr. was only a ''weak link'' when Froch wanted a piece of him but when Andre wanted a bite of him (and he was/is desperate for that fight) it's a completely different story:

''Chavez Jr is not an easy fight. A lot of people say [it's easy] but that's not an easy fight. He's a big kid, he's a strong kid and he can punch."

''Chavez has got skills. I see a lot of his father in him''

IIRC, the first of those quotes was said literally within minutes/hours of Chavez getting his ass paddled by Brian Vera. Ward was still trying to hype him up as an opponent for him after watching him win a total robbery over a journeyman, that's how badly he wanted to fight Chavez.

But Chavez isn't even a ''real challenge'' for Froch, a man Ward beat ''easily with a broken hand.'' lol

'Ward said that he doesn't blame Froch for looking for a less threatening challenge.'

"Froch is 36-years-old or 37 or whatever he is, he's trying to cash out. He doesn't want a real challenge (he's alluding to Froch wanting Chavez here) like [George] Groves or even myself. And that's fine, but don't bring my name up as much as you do and act like you want to fight when really you don't. Be honest with the fans,"

That tiny country offers the most money plus it's a fighter he best with 1 HAND there's no reason to pass up on all that money period. As for GGG Ward asked him for a fight and GGG said he wants to become lineal at 160 and Ward didn't have a problem with it and neither should the fans. GGG becoming lineal will make any fight at 168 much more lucrative. It would also be smarter for GGG because he is a small MW and would have to put in muscle to go up to 168 and if he does that for a couple of fights being over 30 and going back down to 160 losing muscle could ruin him.

No one here is saying Froch would beat Ward. What I am saying is Ward NEEDS this fight and the money after all his legal woes. He beat Froch with one hand he needs to get over his ego go to UK, win , and get his career on track. After the super6 he was supposed to go on to be a great fighter but only has wound up back where he started 3 years ago fighting Froch. Btw I have been starting these threads and I'm an American whose disappointed by the wasted talent of Andre Ward over the last 3 years.

I agree. 3 years a go i thought ward would go on to be a great champion instead he stagnated and did nothing what a waste

I like both fighters because I LOVE boxing so I try to be as logical as possible. Thanks! Froch has gone farther than his limits should have allowed because of his determination now imagine a Andre Ward with Frochs determination it's a very scary thing. Unfortunately we fans keep seeing talented fighters who already see themselves as great because they are so talented so they stagnate through their career while more limited fighters go for broke just to be great. Amazing sport but the best things that should have come out of the Super6 was a unification of Ward ve Bute and then Ward assaulting LHW. We got robbed.. Let's hope this fight happens and history doesn't repeat itself!

Yep, even Andre Dirrel could of learned from the Super6 and come out a force at SMW but mentally he is too damn fragile. It's why I give a lot of props to Froch he isn't the most talented guy out there but his Willpower is ATG.

Could be an epic way to sign off a brilliant career. That said Fast Car seems to be keen to make a fight with GGG now thinking Carl will be to big for him. If he were to win those two... Well even I'd be anointing the cobra on high.

Ill take a fighter willing to fight anyone and lose over someone who won't fight anyone..

Frochs got a good chance against GGG not so good against Ward tho.
