Arguably he lost to Chisora - how come he's been out for so long? Was it his shoulder. If wins a few comebacks he could be a decent fight for AJ, Fury, Price etc

    Yeah, he LOST to Chisora.

You could score him winning rds 1,2, and arguably 8,9,10,11.

Best case for Helenius in that fight was a draw, and I originally scored it 7-5 Chisora. But upon review, IMO, it was a clear 8-4 even 9-3 win for Chisora. Practically dominant.

HOWEVER.....6 wks prior to the fight, Helenius fell down a hill doing roadwork. In the tumble, he torn a ligament in his R shoulder.
He nursed his wound in the weeks leading up to the fight, and did nothing but cardio in preparation soas not to aggravate the injury.
Very little sparring in that camp and partners were not allowed to push him b/c of the shoulder injury, originally thought to be a bruise.

In the first rd of the fight, he landed a R hand, the only meaningful one he could muster due to the tear, and it landed on top of Chisoras head, breaking 2 carpal/metacarpal bones in his R hand. The punch sent Chisora reeling backwards, dazed, according to his own words, and Helenius gave chase, but could not effectively throw the R hand.

Robbe admittedly thought of quitting in each rd after the 2nd. He hung in the trenches trying to match punch for punch with Chisora, but could only effectively land the L hook, and DelBoy outlanded and outpunched him almost 2-1 after the 3rd.

Helenius said something to the effect that "putting up his R guard, to block punches, hurt MORE than the effect of Chisoras shots themselves.

Give a shout out to Karl Helenius, Robbe's manager and FATHER for not getting Robbe the proper medical treatment prior to the bout.:-:)-:)-(

Had an MRI been done, the fight would have been postponed, surgery done immediately, and Robbe very well may have come back strong.

Sadly, he incurred potentially career ending injuries to his hands in that first rd, not properly throwing the R hand due to the torn ligament, and being continuously hit on it, and winging it when he did throw it.

Think Helenius earned 100K for that hometown fight for the vacant EBU and his defenses of the WBA/WBO Intercontinental titles.

Since that fateful fall, Robbe has managed to get a gift decision over Chisora(nearly as bad as the robbery of Pac vs Bradley1) and used his size to lay on Sprott and Williams and potshot behind the jab to near shutout wins over Tank Williams and Michael Sprott, but not being able muster the strength or torque needed to hurt a HW in either fight.:-(

I am definitely going. Its the biggest boxing even in Estonia in decades. AND its 5 minutes away. As i am sitting on my bed, i can see the Ice Hall from my window in all its glory. :D:D:D

I might get ringside tickets. 90 euros a pop. Quite a few are already sold out.

If Helenius is healthy, we just got another world class HW back in the mix. I'm expecting big things from Robbie.

No he didn't lose to Chisora. You either didn't watch it or
you did with white hate glasses on. Learn to score fights
son, or stop watching the sport. Chisora threw shots to
gloves and landed mostly to the body when he threw. The
big Swede couldn't miss his come out of the peek-a-boo
counters on chisora and gave as good as he got, but was
a lot more accurate. The right man won that night, so deal
    with it racist.

After he Ko'd Peter I thought he would be great, but I agree with him losing to Chisora! I also scored it 8-4 to Chisora and was surprised Helenius got the win.
I hope he does better then his last 'comeback'. His fight with Sprott was a snoozer.

Too many serious injuries. That's the kiss of death in boxing & I sure never ever bought into the rhetoric of "he's much better after the surgery and will be stronger".

I lost most of my vcash thanx to him robbing Chisora. Last I saw of him he was leading a parade and known as the "Techno Viking" and in another youtube video he had a talent for punching soccer ***** 500ft into the air. Pretty unique fellow. Este wey.
