If Frampton vs. Quigg was on PPV, would you order it?

I would certainly watch it, but in replay/youtube/outside channel/whatever if you catch my drift.
Even if I wanted to pay for that (nope) I couldn't because I'm not a proud citizen of Greater Britain and Sky box office isn't available here. Good chance there's a channel I can watch it on free of charge though.

But because this is the Brit forum I would place myself in British shoes, pretend to put on a boyband CD, drink some Earl Grey and plan to eat bangers and mash tonight.

Frampton vs Quigg isn't a competitive fight. Carl is at least a class and probably 2 better as Quigg and would brutalize him like he did Avalos and Martinez. So making this a PPV pretending that this is some big event wich Quigg has any hope of winning is bull.

 

I suppose I'd watch if it were free - why not - but I wouldn't pay for it. Not because of the cost, but just because I have spectacularly failed to track the career of either fighter, especially Quigg who I haven't seen so much as throw a punch.

I can't work out why there have been so many threads on this fight and these fighters over the years. Neither is household, certainly not Quigg, and this is just a middling domestic fight as far as I can tell. If there was a poll "what is the fight that is most talked about on this website that you simply can't understand the interest in", this would be near the top of my list.

No, the combination just isn't PPV apart from the small hardcore of fans that follow each fighter. I will watch live but I wouldn't pay PPV for it and would happily wait for youtube rather than pay.

On the flip side if this fight comes off and I'm in the UK at the time I will be buying tickets and going to the fight. I think the atmosphere will be awesome. PPV is being used far too much for fights that don't deserve that status over the last few years. PPV should be reserved for when 2 of the top 3 fighters in a division fight and there are mutiple belts or the lineal title on the line.

Would you pay PPV money for the following scenario:

Fighter A has no real belt and is really just a domestic level fighter however entertaining he can be to watch. He just hasn't fought any decent fighters except Rendall Munroe and he was waaaaaaayyyyy past his best when Fighter A fought him. Even then Fighter A only got a draw not a win in one of the fights.

Fighter B has a slightly better quality belt and has clearly fought and beat a much higher calibre of fighter. He is also more exciting to watch and and his fan support is insane. But Fighter B isn't yet a superstar and doesn't really warrant PPV status unless its against Guillermo Rigondeaux or Leo Santa Cruz.

Mayweather Maidana 1 was a PPV fight, even in my stingy eyes. Was worth it too. Khan Collazo was another good fight on that card.

 

yeah to be honest although in all reality it should not be ppv
