Which British fighter has won titles in the most divisions?

Why have we never had a elite multi weight world champ?

Bob Fitzsimmons was the first but that's going a long way back.

Ricky Burns has moved up to LWW but can't see him winning a 3rd especially at that weight then again the WBO title is vacant i think.

    3 weights. Bob Fitz.

In.modern.boxing the concept is diluted it can be used to duck comp and doesn't mean you fought the top guys at those weights. I have no problem with guys being a career middleweight or career welter, shows dominance. 3 weight champs are a dime a dozen.

Joe Calzaghe was the legitimate champion in 2 divisions.

THE only three weight title holder was Fitzsimmons. Duke won alphabet titles at three weights, but was not 'generally considered' the number one fighter in any of the divisions.

Paul Butler will become a 2 weight world champ tonight all being well, and he's only had 20 or so hasn't he, however looking at his height & reach he may struggle if he was too go up further - having said that it's all dependant who he goes up to face, someone like Galahad (if he was ever made world champion) is shorter & smaller than Hall - who Butler managed to dethrone , so there is a possibility!

Also wouldn't be surprised to see Khan win a WW title.
He hasn't even got one yet, but with Cal Smith's rate of progression & age & size - you'd say the future looks bright for SMW / LH & possibly even CW titles given the right fights at the right time.

If modern weights existed in his time fitzsimmons could be champ from light-middle to heavyweight!

Being a multi weight doesn't as much now as its so easy for top boxers!

Groves will move up to LHW once he wins at 168.

Brook will move up in time.

Khan will be champ at WW
