Khytrov is circling and jabbing into the face of Melendez, who is hopping around in wide circles and looking to line up the jab unsuccessfully. Wide uppercuts by Melendez falling in, just scratching Khytrov's sides with them. Clasping up, Melendez tickles Khytrov with light body digs, mostly just wrist-flicks. Khytrov is keeping a slow and steady pace, circling and jabbing high, then working a few drum rolls downstairs and looping a right into the jaw. Melendez hurt, staggered into the ropes. Khytrov rides a slow conveyor belt in toward him, keeping the combinations pouring. Melendez hurt again but won't go down. Nearly though.

Atlas did actually score the sixth 10-8. His card reads 60-53 Khytrov.

 

Round 7

Khytrov is jabbing the body, forcing Melendez into steady retreat. Khytrov is chipping away on the ribs with that jab, ignoring Melendez's counter jabs on the face. Looping right and left hook on the body by Khytrov. Same combo, upstairs. Melendez is shaving Khytrov's hairline with the jab and poked back a step with a diaphragm jab. Combination by Khytrov pressing Melendez into the ropes.

Well, he still hasn't lost a single minute.

 

Round 8

Khytrov is wiping away the Melendez jab with his right glove. Khytrov moves forward and digs a corkscrew right on the body under Melendez's elbows after smacking Melendez in the gob with a jab as he lay on the ropes. Delayed reaction to the body shot by Melendez, skipping away and going to a knee as Khytrov moves toward him with jab and right feints.
