12 million means it'll need to do 600k ppv buys at £20quid to break even. that's before admin / production costs etc are deducted. Can't see that happening at 4-5am
If the rights fee is £12 million then it's a massive risk for whoever has the fight- pubs will end up paying ridiculous amounts to screen it.
Didnt Floyd - Hatton do over a million in UK at that time? Also, will recoup a decent amount of cash from advertising during the card plus all the pre fight hype
true, but everyone in Britain knows who hatton is, not that many know who pac and mayweather are. I doubt more than 50,000 watched their last fights vs algeiri / maidana so for this to increase 10 fold and pay 20quid + is unlikely to me. The rough impression I've got speaking to casual boxing fans is they'd like to see the fight but not at 4/5am at PPV
Have to take in account both fighters have been shown on boxnation. Very low promotion and small subscribe base. If the fight is on Sky the numbers will increase no doubt.
