Is Broner being disrespecting with the "Can" phrase?

Broner is a as clown and everyone knows it. Give him the mic and garbage comes out. Is it disrespectful? I don't think it is, he thinks he's being clever and funny. He could use some media training, but I will admit Broner is young and flashy and speaks and believes the stuff he's saying. I can't hate on that as that's who he is and his selling point. Everyone hates him or loves him, but we know who he is.

 

In my opinion, this is the only genuinely funny thing Broner has ever done/said.

 

It's the one of the only lines I actually like. I find it rather humorous and 'tongue in cheek.' It's actually classy trash talk in my view. But it was clear to me from his initial pre-fight interview that they had Broner on a very tight leash. This isn't HBO/Showtime, it's prime time network TV.

Nothing disrespectful about it in my view. It's because of the Communists who have taken over the United States. Just IMO.

 

If you watch the interview again, Broner has this sheepish look like a little kid who knew he was saying something he might get in trouble for when they pulled the mic away. Broner won me over a little last night, seems like a good dude

 

I used to not like Broner but i think hes not a bad dude just a little immature, i really liked when Maidana beat his ass i am not gonna lie but i have to give credit to the kid he stood there till the end and never stopped trying and showed theres some substance behind all the BS and that he has a fighters heart. Still think he doesnt deserve the hype he gets cause hes not as good as he thinks he is(nobody is as good as he thinks he is lol) or some ppl think he is but he can be fun to watch with the right opponents. Didnt went from disliking him to be a fan of him but now hes a fighter like so manny others that im not really a fan but i dont dislike him either and will continue to watch him in the future hopefully against beter opposition and in some good fights.

 

Nothing offensive about that comment. Glad to see a lot of people aren't being so sensitive.

I don't think it's anything to make an issue of. Though, I think the way they see it is that when you make negative generalizations of a people (ie Mexican can beat) the claim that you can beat them all can be construed that this implies you believe this to be true because they are all beneath you. And, no, throwing Africans in there is not going to "even things out" Even though this is not what the average minds sees unfortunately they have to be wary of the sensitive ones who take overly offense to anything.
