some are hard to please :yep I personally think he has passed his biggest test and jumped into the WW top 10 after putting a one sided beating on GUerrero, but as I mentioned earlier, he still has loads to improve in his game
I don't think he's quite ready but considering Floyd retires after this year, I'll take it. I think I'd enjoy that fight.
Algeiri All seriousness, he fought Mosley and Judah who were both fast although Mosley was just fast in terms of handspeed not generally quick anymore. Only other guy aside from Pac around WW who was known for speed was Khan. Pacquiao hasn't fought anyone with speed either so I do wonder what happens when he fights someone as fast as himself.
That's what I mean. Other than Pacquiao and Khan, what potential Floyd opponents were really known for their speed?
Khan already beat the guy who gave Floyd hell. Khan was a better contender than Maidana, Guerrero, Ortiz thats for sure.
He beat Maidana in 2011, he was a potential opponent in 2014, after he'd been KO'd already. He needed to redeem himself first IMO. Skill wise, he's a better contender than those listed. But due to his horrible losses and sorry tune up fights, he shouldn't have been in the discussion.
I think he was a potential opponent in 2011 after he beat Judah, Floyd fought Guerrero instead. He was also a potential opponent after a string of wins and handling Collazo, but Floyd fought Maidana 2. Can't blame Floyd for that as Maidana gave him a close first fight. However no denying Floyd prefers the Guerreros and Maidana's of the world than a speedster like Khan. Why else would he create his own poll asking Maidana or Khan and when Khan wins, fight Maidana anyways?
Just because it happened 9 years ago , it won't happen again? Sometimes history repeats itself.....believe it or not.
In the same interview, Zab says that Mayweather is looking very sharp in camp and is picking Mayweather to win but naturally that part gets ignored. lol
You mean he fought Ortiz instead. The young (Floyd only picks on old men), big (Floyd only fights midgets), powerful, southpaw (Floyd struggles with southpaws) who was ranked number 3 at WW only behind Mayweather and Pacquiao. And Khan lost to Peterson after Judah. If he had won that fight, he might have fought Mayweather next instead of Cotto.
