Did Dirrel beat GGG in the amateur's? I thought they only fought the once.

Abraham was going (and leaning) backwards with his hands down and hit flush but he wasn't hurt at all he jumped right back up.

Abraham was hurt numerous times throughout the fight, it was the first time we'd ever seen him getting stopped dead in his tracks, and sometimes by single shots at that. Although Degale is of course a much, much better boxer than Abraham.

That's my gut instinct, Degale is on good form and fighting the best we have seen from him so far but I think people are sleeping on Dirrell here.

I would also be very impressed if DeGale could stop Dirrell because Dirrell doesn't seem easy to stop either, he's fast, skilled and has pop. Winning this fight is quite a big deal imo. I'd consider the winner a legit threat in the division.

Degale actually has a decent chin, seen swallow some power punches for breakfast.

It's a good 50/50 fight this and it's the first time we'll see degale fight top opposition since he got in the ring with a green groves.

Hoping for a Dirrell victory though.

Totally agree, I just hope the judging is fair (I have no reason to think it won't be) as Super Middle is the second best division IMO. Who ever wins, keep the ball rolling, loads of good fights to be made, that being said, would really rather DeGale wins, Dirrel won't fight Ward, his brother Anthony or Abraham, he won't get the Froch rematch and he won't fight Groves. When I think about it like that I wonder why they put such a huge bid in?

Degale is a hype nothing else, lost to grove who got demolished TWICE by froch, degale isn't top tier. British level at best.

Degale will drop him twice en route to a wide decision win.

I favour Degale in this one.

I think Dirrell beat his last opponent easily but caught clean a few times and was a bit hurt in the late rounds agains that blown up middleweight he fought.

How do you know he has a glass jaw if it hasn't been exposed yet? I have only seen a few of his fights, the two leading up to the Super Six, and then the Super Six fights, so I don't know if he's been wobbled by weak punchers before or something?

Andre Dirrell is going to get TKFOed or beat on points.

How is Andre Dirrell even ranked in the top ten? Since 2011 he's fought 3 absolute nobodies and one mid level Journeyman. How does anyone even think he's ready for a world challenge?

Yeah, I just rewatched the Dirrell Froch fight. Dirrell is really good, and won that Froch fight even with the stupid point deduction. I have not watched any DeGale fights though so I have no thoughts on this, other than that if people think Degale has a chance to win, he must be pretty good.
