should the ref have jumped in when pascal was punishing kovalev?

    There were points in the 5th and 6th where pascal was landing repeated haymakers on kovalev and it looked like kovalev was about ready to go....should the ref have stepped in then to save kovalev from further punishment?

    Kovalev took them haymakers as a light refreshment. Pascal was doing the monster mash every time he got hit lol

    Kovalev never looked hurt. He usually saw the punch coming and while he couldn't avoid it he was able to move away from Pascals power to limit it's effect. There was one right hand counter Pascal landed that Kovalev didn't see coming and for a fraction of a second I thought he was hurt, but he wasn't, he ate the shot and went straight back into Krusher mode.

    Pascal did well and had more success than I expected but it didn't look like he had the power to stop Kovalev, at least not with one shot and Pascal fights in spurts so he was never going to be able to sustain any real pressure on Kovalev to ever get a stoppage.

    Yes the ref should have so Pascal would have avoided the beating that happened after.
