Man this is getting old! I honstely think its just ppl in fourms because almost all my boxing homies never talk about fighters moving up.

I loved it when fighters just defended there belt for many many years. all the way from way back when to Bhop with i think 20+ title defenses! Why do you guys want fighters to move up all the time??

GGG DOESNT NEED TO MOVE UP!! Ward doesnt need to move up! I dont get it. most of you guys want fighters to move up so you can see them lose or be at a disadvantge. Now I do think a fighter should move up if he cant make the weight. I think Broner can make 140 but hes playing around so thats a toss up. I dont think Garcia can make 140 again so he should just move up but all this "hes got move up" all the time really gets old guys.

GGG is a MW! and he doesnt want to leave till hes truly the man or even Undisputed and I have no problem with this at all! why do you guys do? Now theres circumstances that a mega fight could be a weight class above or below and then we want to see that. for GGG theres no mega fight t 168. His mega fights are Cotto and Canelo! yes Canelo isnt a 160 fighter but that fight would sell like hotcakes compared to anybody at 168 so STOP WITH THE GGG NEEDS TO MOVE UP!!

As for Ward lets just see what happens. Kovalev-Stevenson is the fight to be made at 175, not Ward-Kovalev so get over it. I would like to see Ward against either Dirrell brothers (was supposed to fight Andre years ago) and or Degale is he beats Andre. good fights.

my question is why you guys want fighters to move up all the time?? I would love for GGG to stay at MW for like 3 more years and just whoop everybody and everybody. then move up, why move up now? Mayweather never moved up until he was the man at the division. only time it didnt happen was 140 because Hatton ducked the fight after he saw Gatti get murdered so Floyd went to WW otherwise he would've stayed.

Because people want to see fight which require someone to move up or a catch-weight such as GGG vs Froch/Ward and Ward vs Kovalev.

boh those fights are not even that great! Like I said in my post, i dont mind it for a mega fight. Floyd moved up 3 times for 3 mega fights (DLH,Canelo,Cotto) but he knows hes not a 154 fighter.

GGG-Cotto is the fight to be made, not no GGG_Ward who hasnt fought in forever or sorry Froch, or wack ass Chavez jr. GGG-Cotto or Canelo are mega fights.

Ward-Kovalev is a good fight but Kovalev-Stevenson is the fight to be made! so ppl need to chill, wanting fights that are good but not the best fight to be made

I disagree. GGG vs Cotto is a mismatch. GGG vs Froch or Ward is better imo.

GGG needs to move up to have truly competitive fights, he's too good for the guys at 160.

I don't think anyone at 168 troubles Ward except maybe the Dirrell/DeGale winner and Ward apparently won't fight Dirrell. He needs to test his skill at 175, Pascal, Stevenson, Bute and old Hopkins all moved up and Ward is supposed to be better than those guys.

you might think GGG-Cotto is a mismatch but I sure dont. GGG has yet to fight somebody Elite, not his fault but this is true even if Cotto is undersized. and GGG wants to be THE Champ so why leave? if im a boxer im not leaving till im the man, plain and simple.

GGG-Froch proves nothing. could it be a good fight, maybe, but proves nothing at all. fighting Ward is cool but Ward hasnt been fighting, neither of those fights compare to Cotto at all!

for Ward maybe he should test his skills at 175 but Kovalev-Stevenson is THE FIGHT TO BE MADE!!! so I dont want to see Ward-Kovalev, i'll pass on that. i wanna see fighters fight in there division and become undisputed or pretty damn close like May-pac is gonna be.

GGG vs Cotto probably won't happen anyway. Cotto probably realises he is too small to fight GGG.

Im sure Cotto will take that fight unless he gets Canelo then he'll take GGG afterwards. Cotto doesnt back down from nobody. he knew his chances wasnt great against Mayweather and pac but still took the fight, a true G.

he also knows GGG hasnt fought anybody like him, Roach knows this too. :good

In many cases, they want someone to move up because that fighter has been dominant (or elite) in a weight class and they just want to see him lose.

I've seen people scream for Mayweather to move up to MW and fight GGG. smh

because guys like pacquiao and mayweather made it look it easy. even a dude like broner is THREE division champ. people equate that to mean that if a boxer was truly skilled or on the p4p list, weight means nothing. plus casuals are in awe when Michael buffer announces a boxer as former (-----)weight champ multiple times.

some just don't know any better and some are malicious and just want boxers to get destroyed.

You're right GGG doesn't need to move up, he needs to stick around and rip Cotto's face off first. But alas Cotto is a big wus....unless you have an career ending injury of course.

If GGG is so frickin good that nobody can beat him at his natural weight and fans are giving him **** that he needs to move, then it's obvious that it's only because they want him to have a disadvantage.

Then clearly he must be the best fighter on the planet. If you're so good that guys you're own size don't stand a chance what does that tell you?

That you should move up and challenge yourself at a higher weight?

Because they usually only know the very top fighters of any division. So naturally the options are limited if you only know of a couple possible options. Plus they just want to see certain fighters they don't like lose and certain fighters they do like go on to great things.

The challange should be from another man his own size. That's the whole point of weight classes. So that men of equal size have bouts.
