If Moore was "green" despite being a half decade older than Ezzard and with more than twice the number of bouts under his belt (95 to 40) than Charles, then what does that make Ezzard?

Ezzard not only trounced Moore three times, he held numerous victories over the guys that BEAT Moore.

Hard to say. For me its Tunney. He has wins over Greb, Carpentier, Loughran, and Gibbons. Just one official loss in his career.

Tunney was a fleet footed fighter with a good jab and right hand. He was also tough as nails, durable, and had plenty of stamina. A very hard guy to out box, or stop is tough to defeat.


Archie Moore and Sam Langford would be my 2nd and 3rd choice.
