After Garcia cleans out 140 (Beating Lamont), should he leave the division?

The fight is a joke, it should have been at 140 to unify the titles. A non-title match between them is pointless. It is almost as bad as Peterson vs Matthysse.

There are so many reasons why Peterson should not even be holding a world title. The IBF should be ashamed of themselves for allowing Peterson to still be their LWW champ.

 

he already did, danny has fought 19 times over the 140 limit, but no one really cares...
is safe to say that danny is the CW queen... 19 out of 29 lol...

Garcia seems to be ducking good fighters or good fighters are ducking him. He beat Khan easily so why not a Khan rematch or a Borner fight? he can face thurman. Garcia is the best yet less talked about boxer...

 

Garcia plays as safe as possible for a belt owner, that's for sure.

 

Not to derail this thread but....Lamont Peterson is the biggest joke in boxing.

Gets a hometown robbery vs Khan, fails his drug test for being loaded with testosterone ....and retains his IBF title.

Gets blasted by Matthyssee in non-title fight (retains title)

Will get blasted by Garcia at 143 and retain title.

The fact this guy has been beaten 3x since holding the IBF is borderline hilarious....great "champion"

 

He needs to leave already. Garcia-Berto would be perfect to start off at WW

 

I wouldnt say hes a joke but man hes a mess! Anyhow he is the last one left. I wouldnt mind Garcia fighting the winner of Crawford-Dulmore but I dont think this guy can make 140 anymore, should just give up the damn belts

I do hope this is not a serious question. You do realize Garcia is not ranked top 10 P4P in any list and barely makes it to top 20 in many lists. Apart from Salka(complete bum) he hasn't won a fight decisively since 2012 and refuses to give a rematch to anyone. He's like the definition of a champ who plays safe. Instead of giving a rematch to Herrera or Lucas, he's fighting a guy Lucas KO'd in 3 rounds. It's pathetic.
