This could be a decent fight I feel. Cunningham gave fury some problems early on, he dropped him hard, it was a punch that would drop price no doubt, maybe for the count, prices recovery is terrible. However steve isn't a big puncher, and it may be harder to land on price than it was fury, fury was clowning and generally ****ing around, price hasn't got the movement of fury the fleet of foot, the jab and he hasn't shown he can turn a fight into a pub brawl and win, he will find hard to catch cunningham for the first half of the fight, this is the half where price is most deadly, he's like a polished larger more powerful butterbean, he has about 4 good rounds in him if he fights a t decent level and not against journeyman. Price is the hardest puncher behind wlad in the hw division however. 1 right hand and the smaller cunningham will seeing stars, fury may of dropped cunningham and broke his will but price will break his jaw, I like USS but price wouldn't be initimidated by a man of his size. Another david Goliath job, but this time Goliath actually had serious power. Price is slow, stiff and has looked very shoddy in his last few fights against euro bums, he took too long in dispatching costa and wasn't really outboxing him as such, more costa was throwing nothing back. Cunningham beat another big puncher in mansour, Very good win, but he was dropped 3 times I think and was down for longer than 10seconds. Price has a better technique than mansour, cunningham started to read mansours wild desperate swings and boxed his head off at times. Totally different opponent to price however who keeps it longer, tighter and taller most of the time. A 5inch height advantage and 40lb weight advantage. I cant pick this one, it's generally a 50/50 fight. If price has done his roadwork and has improved stamina he could ko cunningham in the 5-7th round. If steve fights as he did with fury but doesn't iniate clinches where the bigger man will press all his weight on steves back and legs, he will stop price late on in the 9-11th. Who you got? Break it down.
Remember price isn't a fury, price is slower and methodical, he has less aggression and less confidence. Remember cunningham isn't a 6'5 260lb southpaw with heavyweight power like Thompson however he has a lot more stamina than the tiger.

    Gee.. wall of text dude.

I doubt Price would take a Cunningham fight which is a very similar opponent to Thompson who's probably still in Price's wildest dreams.

A Chisora fight would serve better for him.

I'm as you know a big fan of Steve's but I think Price has far more power than Fury although a far worse chin, but I think he stops poor Steve in 7 or 8.

Come on dude, this isn't whether price takes the fight, its a fantasy match up. If price cant fight a former cruiserweight with low-average power, he should go back to plumbing and take maruisz wach with him. Price was calling out wilder and Joshua so he should have the stones to get in the ring with Cunningham.

For a fantasy match up I'd lean towards Price by UD. Cunningham is en route to becoming another Kevin Johnson.

Although calling out Wilder or Joshua is not the same, they are big payday fights, this one is not.

price would need to fight a few Cunningham level gatekeeper if he ever wants a shot at wilder. hes currently at the bottom of the rung with the opponents hes been fighting, times ticking for price he aint a youngster. beating chisora now would be pointless, unless he wants to stay british European level, delboy isn't fringe world anymore he looks shot. steve has still got tools to hurt many fighters he also has ambition, would be a good win for price. Cunningham beating price would show to us he can beat shw's even ones that have atomic power.

Thompson and Cunningham are , in no way, similar as opponents.

price vs cunningham would be a interesting fight and one I would like to see price has the height and size advantage but Cunningham has more quality and price does have that ddgy chin . I cant see price taking this fight at this stage

Not a bad fight... Price could definitely bomb Cunningham out early.... The longer it lasts the more I like Steves chances.

I can't believe people take Cunningham seriously as a HW! He had featherfists and a questionable chin at LHW!!!! :patsch
