Ideally Spike really should go into a fight with CEJ having faced better opposition in the run-up. CEJ is much better prepared for a 'big fight' right now than Spike. But this is as good an opportunity as Spike is going to get. CEJ won't run him ragged like elusive speed-merchant BJS did. Junior likes to stand close in throwing hooks, which is exactly what should suit Spike. This should be a very good match. :thumbsup
I agree that he should, and have a personally selfish reason for being disappointed that he isn't squeezing in another tuneup/step-up. :yep He was meant to headline next month's show at Memorial Hall (where I saw him drub Smith from ringside) and I was keen on going. :verysad Apparently now that's to be headlined by Danny O'Connor vs. Michael Clark - hardly an inspiring top of the bill.
Jamie's fight is been shown on fox sports1 and boxnation are showing the card from 3am so should have his fight, not sure about quigley tho
You might yet get to see Spike headline at Memorial Hall...by all accounts this Spike-CEJ fight isnt carved in stone yet (and I for one dont want to hex it) but I imagine the Eubanks aint easy people to do business with. It might all go tits up yet. (Strongly hope it doesnt though)!!
I'm rooting for a temporary postponement (enough for Spike to squeeze back on the April 10th bill against TBA) rather than a complete derailment.
...you knew that on Wednesday. :? http://www.boxingforum24.com/showthread.php?p=16947846#post16947846 "Phil, we were there. Have you gone mental?"
