Ward said Stevenson needed to beat one or two top level opponents, in order to deserve a shot. With or without a formal offer Ward told Stevenson to **** off.

Catch weight is fair. If Ward wants to fight he'll agree on it, if not ...

Ward had a broken hand, but that's not the reason to why he didn't start to negotiate with Bute. Ward said that Bute needed to fight one or two top level guys to deserve a shot. Otherwise they could have schedueled the fight for late spring or perhaps the summer. Wards hand was good to go late winter.

When it comes to Froch beating Bute, it's the top dogs (Wards) job to fight the top challenger at the time (Bute), it's not a a task that should be handed out to one of the champs leftovers (Froch).

Imagine Floyd saying he doesn't need to fight Pac because Marquez KO'd him

Boxers get slated for unfair reasons here on ESB all the time. But if the case of Ward, it's obvious something is up.

Triple G saying he's ready to face anyone at 154-168 including Froch an JCCJR, but not Ward? If Triple G doesn't come up to fight Ward, then he'll be the one who is ducking. Btw if for some reason Ward would be foolish to move down and lose because of dehyradtion, no one will give Triple G credit.

Ward and Wlad a great fighters, both of which are a plessure to watch.

Andre Dirrel declined to face Ward in the super 6. After that he spent 2 years out of the ring. Anthony was a nobody in 2011 and didn't make sense. I don't see why he still can't fight Anthony and Bute?

Anyone know who Kovalev was when Ward was fighting in the Super 6? Kovalev was becoming a star when Ward was dealing with injuries and promotional issues. Again though, this is a fight that can happen in the future.

Adonis doesn't seem keen on fighting people that can beat him. If Kovalev and him fight though, I can see HBO pushing for a fight with the winner and Ward.

Froch will lose the purse bid if it comes down to that and he'll vate his title, still hoing to cash out with JCCJR. He already got destroyed by Ward.

Show this man some respect. A great boxer, an olympic champion(last one from US), and has had a brilliant amateur career where he has been undefeated since he was 10 years old.

Ward is still living off of something that happened back in 2011.
He has not fought in 16 fucking months.
    GGG would wreck him.

I swear people are either blinded by hatred or they seriously lack comprehension skills. Radio Raheem (the guy asking the questions) brought up the idea of a catch weight to make the fight (at minute 6:55) not Golovkin's promoter. The promoter simply ran with the idea but he did not originally proposed it. I hate these dishonest threads, why distort what was actually said? Why can't you be a fan of Ward without diminishing or ridiculing GGG?
GGG's promoter made a great point which is that the fight needs to be on payperview in order to cover the amount that both ward and ggg would deserve.

Ok. Wait and see what happens after Ward gets those 2 or 3 tune ups out of the way.

Listen, Capt, I respect your class act approach, but Andre Ward has been acting funny for a while now, and the writing was on the wall already during Super Six. He proved he's an A-level boxer in his fights against Mikkel Kessler, Carl Froch and Chad Dawson, even if we take into account that Kessler was headbutted like in a streetfight and Dawson seemed a bit drained at SMW. But Ward is a lot better at telling the boxing industry what he absolutely won't do than to actually do anything, and this will be highlighted here on ESB :deal
