I would say yes, a lot of Guy's lose their punch as they age, and their punch resistance as well, Marquez knocked him cold, and I certainly don't see him knocking out Floyd either...

Since Paquio koed Cotto he has fought 9 times and his opponents had amassed a combined total of 366 fights with only 1 stoppage loss Mosely ko Margarito. He knocked Mosely down which does not happen then eased up on him because he was his buddy. He could have been given stoppage wins against Margarito and Algeri. His power has not diminished but his killer instinct has. What happened to the old boxing adage of the punching power is the last thing to go. They may lose speed which is responsible for kos because of the one they didn't
see coming but they don't lose power. The main reason for the lack of kos is because he's fighting bigger guys with great chins followed by a mellowing killer instinct.

He beat the hell out of Mosley, Margarito, and Algieri and seemed content with letting them last the distance... or maybe he was unable to stop them.

The bottom line is that he put a lot of hurt on these guys and they are all durable WWs. Mosley was a World Champ at 154, Margarito is a huge WW, as is Algieri.

He fought a very good Timothy Bradley twice and in my opinion dominated him both times. Mayweather struggled with Maidana twice. Don't be fooled by the loss to Marquez.

Might have something to do that he is not a natural welterweight, and is undersized compare to his last 10 opponents.

His last few match below the welterweight ended with ko's

The last guy he stopped (on his feet by the way) went toe to toe with him. Apart from Magarito, who was so much bigger it's understandable he didn't stop him, who has gone toe to toe with Manny?

Am I the only one who thought that the ref had a 10 count on a clearly dazed Algieri, yet didn't call the fight as he should have?

I'm with you. The ref broke in only to give Algieri a 10 count. The ref should've stopped the fight if he was going to break in and stop Pac from hitting Algieri while Algieri is dazed.

I agree. I think Floyd is favourite, but Manny is a very live underdog. He is a far better fighter than Maidana, that's for sure.

I wish the two had fought when Manny had beaten Hatton. This was the right time for the fight and I don't think Floyd would have won then. Even so, Pacquiao might have the style to give Floyd lots of trouble. Who would have predicted Norton would give Ali fits?

Pacquiao still has the power, in my opinion. He also has a weird way of delivering it; how he lands his left when it looks easy to avoid it I don't know!

Power is the last thing to go, and I don't believe he's lost any. He's just fighting bigger, more durable guys.
