He was considered a marvel in his day and was the greatest featherweight of his time. I wrote an article on him that's on the IBRO site. He was Young Griffo's idol. Jim Corbett, Tommy Ryan, Frank Erne and George Kid Lavigne have all championed Weir's prowess as a fighter. Wish this site still let you attach pics.
