    :-(

Worst news I have had today.

Huge respect for the man but I'm devastated that he will likely ruin yet another big fight.

I really hope there is some legal option to listen to the American ****ysis.

I've gone full circle with Uncle Jim, I love the old man now, I just imagine I'm watching the fight with a crazy old Uncle who just repeats himself and is full of contradictions.

It's got to the point where I feel bad for having a pop at him regardless of how much he irritates me.

You'll miss him when he's gone from Sky, maybe Enzo Calzaghe should do a remake of the song with Jim.

I'll be watching the HBO broadcast if I can find a decent stream. Screw listening to Watts rubbish.

I think paulie is a decent commentator if he's on showtime they should use his commentary during the fight.

will probably be in a casino bar for it anyway so won't hear the comment anyway which is a positive

Jim is fantastic. He has complete empathy with the fighters and tries to not crucify them even when they frustrate him. His catchphrases are the best and he ramps up the atmosphere ten notches. Would love to have Jim and Al Bernstein together!

I'm afraid Paulie has proven to be an epic bore, he sounds like he's boring himself. The other yanks are imbeciles, who the hell would want to listen to that?

Can't stand Nick Halling. Still he's not as bad as that obnoxious sanctimonious "I say what I like and I like what I say" nob on Boxnation - Rawling.

Better than the commentary on Box Nation. Rawling and the other guy.

Watt commentating is part of British boxing tradition, I want him to continue as long as possible. You know what? Eamonn Andrews was not so good at the end, and 'arry and Reg were positively cringe worthy with their commentary as they got older, but a big fight was not a big fight without one of them being the voice in the 70s through to the 90s.

So if are a younger fan, just go with flow and chuckle at Watts' flaws. As time goes by you will look back with a kind of fondness at the 'mad' Scotsman, because there will come a time that the commentator you associate with boxing would have seen better days, but to you a big fight is not a big fight with them being the voice.
