This one should be fun. :bbb I've not seen a poll. Ovill will be making his first British and second Commonwealth title defense. He is favored at 2/3. He also knocked out common opponent Jon-Lewis ****inson in 2, whereas Askin lost a decision to him. Still, he is giving up considerable length to Askin - not to mention age. The man called "Assassin" is on good form since his most recent defeat, however, and coming off a brutal career-ending beating delivered to Menay Edwards, who needed to be stretchered out. What's the craic with Shinkwin vs. Horton? That promise to be any good? The rest of the undercard is garbage, to be honest. Romeo Romaeo vs. Dan Carr? :barf The Wiltshire journeyman is 3-67-2 but only been stopped once, so we are essentially guaranteed six rounds of Romaeo's nonsense. :-(
To be fair, the same is true of the Matchroom card on Saturday - outside the main event and co-feature the card is absolute rubbish. Kal Yafai and Frankie Gavin have absolute joke opponents. (reflected @ the bookies', with both at 1/100...)
****inson was poor vs. McKenzie. Askin should be better than he was will it be enough I don't know but I still have to favour McKenzie by stoppage.
You would think that....but someone who should be a light heavy he can certainly carry his power up 25 pounds in weight.
Two very good fighters. I expect McKenzie to win, probably on points but it could easily go the other way.
I fancy Askin in this one and maybe by stoppage. Just got to get the tactics write, Don't trade with Ovill! I feel if this goes past 8 then Askin can stop Mckenzie
