As one can tell from you're follow up comment...you have no idea at all who he is...he's making his debut in Autumn at 118 or 122 and is said to be "the next Inoue"...

Also considering Inoue's last fight was seen by more 7,000,000 I think it's rather funny you talk about 99% of boxing fans...boxing has 700,000,000 fans? Admittedly that was at Super Flyweight but still the point is that US boxing makes up only a % of boxing fans.

Also "strawweight and minimumweight", actually saying that shows your lack of knowledge. Unless of course you'd go "Light Middleweight and Super Welterweight"

For the last few years Americans pretended the Heavyweight didn't exist, the Cruiserweight division doesn't seem to exist either....ah well, getting off topic now, but Maruta isn't fighting at 105lbs when he turns pro.

Getting seen by 7 million people in Asia is the equivalent of 50,000 people watching in Europe.Obviously their populations are much higher.
In the whole of europe there is only 19 current super flyweights ..whereas Japan alone has 117 super flyweights. how can you expect people from Europe (and most other places) to be interested in these divisions.

Not quite sure how you're getting the numbers worked out in your head but to put it into perspective. Getting seen by 7,000,000 in Japan is still significantly higher than any bout in the US in recent years. In fact what was it PBC got for the Thurman card? 4,000,000? A country 3 times more populated than Japan could only draw half the audience to watch Broner and Thurman as Japan could get to watch Inoue...wow... Needless to say Ioka and Rigondeaux getting 12,000,000 (yup a Flyweight and a man the US didn't want to watch!) must be impressive

Hmmm...well there's 11 Super Flyweight from the UK alone (Paul Butler being a notable one Kal Yafai being another and Jamie Conlan) and each of those seem to have fans interested so...I guess they must be doing something right.

    I voted for Joshua.

Usyk reminds me of Yuri Vaulin.

    That's not a good thing.

The keyword is 'almost'. By your logic Kovalev is packing glass as well since he was actually KOed with headgear on. :yep

Well I'm not the guy who's so obsessed with Glass that my name is Russian_Glass, so it seems strange your pick AJ happens to be packing glass himself.

I picked Joshua because he is the best prospect on the OP's list. As far as his chin is concerned, I wouldn't call it glass.

Please answer the question. Is Kovalev packing glass or not? This should be fun.

Kovalev got dropped but not knocked out cold by Atoev, who's a fairly big puncher for an amateur, obviously fighters get better and many are dropped or stopped in the ams that go one to have long careers and never get KO or dropped as a pro. Kovalev has improve immensely since then, is his chin the greatest maybe not, but its not as bad as many of you make it out to be.
