You're the only one to even mention it ....which pretty much sums up the level of interest in Nevin.

People have given up on him. He has the skill but he ain't got the will, it seems.

Gotta feel sorry for Jamie Kavanagh.

By the sound of things, his cousin Paul Kavanagh was murdered in Drumcondra today.

Is he like the only member of his family not mixed up with all that?

You are an important part right now of this forum/thread but i've had enough of you.
JJN is our most decorated amateur ever, imo our finest boxer of the last 50 years, when you realise where he came from to reach World number one I will engage with you again. Or perhaps get respect when you tell your tale of how you overcame adversity eg a couple of broken legs, etc.

How do you define "not mixed up in all that?".
Jamie had no problem having his late father working his corner, for example. That much we do know, at the very least least. I know blood is thicker than water etc and Jamie is young and all, and widely regarded as a nice lad, but we all have to draw the line somewhere.

Dad or no dad, even as a young fella I know what I would have said/done if my dad was a hardened criminal, a convicted heroin dealer. With an so-going involvement in serious crime. No way would I be associated with him in ANY way. Certainly not so publicly, money or no money. No way. The only acceptable association with such an individual is NO association. Simple as. End of.

Unusually for an Irish person I have standards, Matt.

    Standards.

( oh and FWIW, since you ask, funnily enough I actually DID overcome serious injury too! What can I say? You did ask! )

None of that means Jamie himself was a criminal or accomplice in any crimes, though. :blood
