Look, I like watching Fury fight, and I'm rooting for him to make some waves and grab himself a belt in the HW division, but...come on. This is the same guy who was in two life and death wars against a fat C-level fighter, and got dropped by two much smaller opponents, one a Hollywood stuntman, and the other a heavy CW who has never been renowned for his KO power. What Fury has going for him is skill, but his lack of maturity and focus is only going to hurt him when he faces someone in the top 10. As it stands, I don't think he'd have very good odds against Thompson or Chagaev, let alone Wlad or Povetkin.
He will grab every belt in due time. He never went life and death with any c-level heavyweight what the hell are you talking about ??? If you're talking about McDermott please be quiet it was a long time ago before he developed and Tyson won both times and he didn't train properly for either bout
Yes, he's developed since the McDermott fights, but still has some of those nasty habits and immature behavior that allowed McDermott to hang around and get the better of him in some instances. I'm not saying that Fury isn't skilled, he certainly is, but he still has too much of the childish behavior in him that will prevent him from hanging with the grown-ups. Maybe in another 3 years or so he'll mentally mature even more and grab those belts after Wlad retires, but right now he just doesn't have the tools or focus to hang with him.
So Muhammad Ali and sugar Ray Leonard didn't have great focus ??? No wonder a little hobbit defeated you
And how would you know exactly ??? When I say we I mean all those who ACTUALLY support him True celts support their champion
Fury is a better than average heavyweight, but he has not shown what he can really do in a real fight......................Fury should knock out Wilder ASAP or retire..................
I appreciate the entertainment factor Tyson brings to the HW Division, but in no way would he be able to beat Wlad. Wilder would be a better match up for him.
