Brook did get sliced up by a machete and almost died. Who knows what that took out of him. Also, Dan isn't really that bad of a fighter. He beat a pretty good Brazier twice. Anyways this is just a degenerate gambler asking, considering Dan is like +2000 to win a decision. My problem is he doesn't have a lot of pop and it is in Brook's hometown. My gut feeling is that even if Brook doesn't dominate or looks bad, they are still going to give him the decision.
Really? Are you British by any chance? Brook had to grapple with one-dimensional Porter to win his fight (ala Hopkins). He almost got laid out by Jones and was hurt against Senchenko. Since then he got sliced up by a machete and almost died. Add it all up, I'd say he has more than a hope.
defenitly rooting for jojo dan I think hes a good challenger with a chance for the upset but honestly I expect brook to get the W :good
Nope not British. This is nothing but a comeback fight for Brook, almost a stay busy thing to keep him fresh for actual real fights. Dan offers nothing to trouble Brook. Brook would never have taken even a 95-5 fight. This is a 100-0 fight in his favour. He has recovered fully from the stabbing and will be mentally stronger than ever...he's always had the skills....and he received no long term damage...so the stabbing is irrelevant really.
has anyone seen much footage of brook sparring I seen a thing on ringside and he looked fairly sluggish but this was a while back?
Slight, as he isn't a lower tier really than Carson Jones - but, styles make fights and Dan possesses none of the qualities about Jones that gave Brook trouble (and only in their first encounter) Not a bad fighter, just a different level. Brook should win this any way he fancies.
Of course. I hear good things about Brook's leg, like really good things, but if there's a problem he could certainly lose. You never ever know how a fighter - or a builder, or a slate worker - is going to come back from an injury like that until it's proven. It would have helped if there were stylistic reasons to be optimistic (in relation to the injury) but yeah, he has a chance in these circumstances but it's a "one factor" chance.
