yes but I'm no Tamwar Terry Tibbs , I don't make dumb predictions. Degale will probably need a KO to win and he doesn't punch hard enough to win by KO.

there's not much a promoter can do if a rival is prepared to lose money on a purse bid. how long can haymon keep running at a loss?

froch gets credit for travelling to fight, degale can earn the same.

No he didn't have the right idea because he will make a loss on that fight because there will be very few willing to pay for that fight. Degale loses this fight then are you saying his career is over? He bid $2.1 million which for that fight is a very high offer, and there was no one that could have guessed Al would have put a bid in that high. Do you understand how the purse bid works? From what you have said I think not.

What on earth are you talking about?

The fight hasn't even happened yet and you are blaming the promoter for a defeat he hasn't suffered? What a bonkers line of argument. Hearn secured him a title shot and a million dollar payday and you see that as a failure?

You write as if home advantage determines a fight. It doesn't. It's an advantage, but nothing more. Much more important is how he does in the ring.

DeGale needs to do what he does best - out box the yank. Dirrell is skilled, but he is psychologically weak (Abraham) and can be wobbled (Edwards).

The bid Haymon and his team made was well above the market rate. You can hardly blame Eddie for not winning the purse bids.

Matchroom was never going to win the purse bids... Al Haymon has a lot of pull.

The offer Eddie made was a very very good offer, they just got blown out of the water.

It's funny how Degale was ridiculed on this forum as a featherfisted bum going nowhere not long ago, a couple of wins against C/D level opposition and suddenly he's a big punching monster who will beat anyone lol. He got beat by Groves, should have had a loss to thePole in the fight after that.. and contrary to what his fans think he still hasn't beat anyone as a pro!!! That yank he fought at wembley was awful, and Periban was not at the races he never even came to the UK with a trainer apparently.
