Donaire won and is back at back at 122. With LSC not an option, might we see Carl V Nonito this year? (Nonitos oppponent wasnt up to much. It was only the guy Quigg wiped out a few years ago.)
I know it's not directly relevant to Irish boxing, but what about THAT ko of Etches by Khomitsky. He stopped Buglioni too, (and I think beat moore?. ) Really puts Blackwells performance against Khomitsky into perspective. If Andy or Spike or any other Irish middle ever finds himself in with Nick Blackwell, they will be up against it, mark my words.

James Tennyson dethroned Celtic featherweight champion Kris Hughes on Saturday night when Hughes was disqualified in the seventh round. Headlining Mark Dunlop's show at the Andersonstown Leisure Centre, Tennyson had too much for his southpaw opponent to handle. Closing the range with a lead right hand and trying to work the body, James found himself constantly tangled up inside. All that Scotland's Hughes could do to cope with Tennyson's strength was grab and clinch which resulted in numerous warnings from referee Ian John-Lewis. Hughes had two points deducted in the sixth round - the second for a blatant headbutt that cut Tennyson across the right eye - and a further point taken in the seventh. Later in that round the London official stepped in and disqualified Hughes at 2:31. This bout doubled as a British title eliminator and James is now expected to push for his shot before moving up in weight. :good
Officially confirmed? There was a false alarm earlier from the Frank W. office, is that what you're referring to?
Afraid I'm not one of the Twitter generation. That particular wonder of technology has escaped me. I always felt technology peaked in the 70's with the digital watch...
