A past sparring partner recalls switching to southpaw against Floyd Mayweather. Here's what he said. "For the Maidana fight, I was fighting orthodox, and I went southpaw by mistake. He told me, 'No, no, no, no, no, no. Go back to orthodox.' . . . [someone said], 'You know what man let him switch southpaw." And at the end of the round, I changed southpaw. I was landing punches. Not when I was orthodox, I couldn't land s***." Make no mistake, Mayweather probably hadn't fought a southpaw in a long time when that happened while right now that's all who he is sparring, so he'll be well prepared. I just thought this was interesting.
I don't that has nothing to do with is !! Maidana is not a south paw, so why would you turn south in the middle of sparring ? Sparring is more of getting a mind set of what you can expect from a fighter. In his current sparring now he would more then likely tell any fighter that sparring south paw not to turn conventional, because it would sever no purpose.
A month left until Floyd kicks Pac's ass. There is no way Pac is winning this. Floyd is just too damn good.
Floyd could definitely be too good, and as an overall fighter, he definitely is. I do see ways Pacquiao could pull the upset though.
Do you really believe this Antonia?? Floyd has more natural boxing talent than Manny agreed but talent alone is not enough If they barr Kenny Bayless from officiating & select 3 impartial honest judges. They could use Tony Weekes or Steve Smoger as referee Both would let BOTH fighters fight their fight. Bayless obviously wouldn't. It really boils down to this Floyd cannot FIGHT!! If Manny can drag him into the trenches & make him fight he'll beat Floyd That's what Floyd objected to Tony Weeks for in Maidana 1 he didn't stop Maidana fighting his fight Kenny Bayless did while allowing Floyd to elbow, hold like a limpet etc with impunity. All I ask is give both guys a level playing field & may the best man on the night win
1) It's Bayless. 2) You said "IF" Manny can make Floyd fight. Pacquiao couldn't force Algieri to fight him. 0% chance he forces Mayweather, the best defensive boxer, to fight him. You cannot force Mayweather to fight you. 3) Pacquiao fights at a distance and won't fight on the inside, so Floyd won't be able to clinch or elbow. That won't be an issue. The only thing the refs will be calling that night are low blows, KD, and maybe a KO.
Quit crying about the Vegas Mafia being the judges and ref.. You or no one else can or will do anything about it, so stop talking about it..
In the off chance that Pac wins, it will be a robbery. Vegas/boxing needs Floyd to lose in order to set up a rematch If they do rob Floyd, I hope he retires on the spot and pull a Hagler. No reason whatsoever for him to do a rematch if he does get robbed. :deal
