    I thought he looked prime-like against Canelo. If the Mayweather who fought Canelo shows up then he could beat Pacquiao decisively, IMO.

    People fail to realize how much Floyd was going through mentally at the time of the fights with Chino. His ex fiancé had aborted his twins behind his back and left him a month or so before the 1st match. Then the Nevada Boxing commission was busting his chops about the All Access episodes involving drugs, brutal sparring, etc... Plus 50 Cent spread rumors that Floyd couldn't read a month before the rematch.

    Not making any excuses but that is lot to deal with even for someone as mentally strong as Floyd. Yet Floyd still won both fights without controversy (yeah the 1st fight was close, but no one can name 7 rds. that Maidana won).

    Its all good though. Manny (who I respect) will be the recipient of a classic type a-- whipping come fight night.

    Chris is being really honest there, he could try to raise his stock pretending Paquiao will win, but he admits he can only see Mayweather winning even if it makes him look lesser.

    Algieri is a good person, honest, humble, real. If he can refine his style and sits more on his punches, he can become really good. He has the tools.

    And i trust his prediction.

    Unless he has been in with both then im not sure how he can have a complete view.

    Also against Manny even when he was 'let out of the cage' he was battered around the ring

    Yeah, I say the same thing for Manny Pacquiao with his third fight against Marquez.

    He was having serious marital problems in his life. He was gambling, he was an alcoholic practically, he was losing money, had tax issues, and his wife caught him cheating on her. Roach said Pacquiao wasn't getting consistent sleep becomes sometimes he'd be up all night trying to reconcile with his wife over the phone.

    His wife was refusing to even be in the same bed with him and was asking for divorce ON FIGHT NIGHT. She was refusing to go to the fight with him, so Pacquiao said he wouldn't go to the fight until she came. Finally she agreed, but refused to ride in the same car with him. When they arrived they were hours late and Pacquiao had no time to warm up.


    So, tax issues + drinking + gambling + cheating + wife asking for divorce...his life was literally in shambles, lol. I still think he won the fight, and don't think it was as controversial as people make it out to be, but when you step into the ring...everything goes in there with you. Pacquiao and Mayweather are human. If they have ONE bad night, it doesn't mean they're slipping. You have to factor in everything else going on in their life too. They're not superheroes, as some on here would like to make them out to be.

    It's not so much a master boxer, because he's not. I mean he said Bradley was slow and obviously really, horribly miscalculated Pacquiao for his fight with him... but, it's more interesting to hear his experience with Pacquiao so where we can see where Pacquiao is at.

    * He punches harder than he expected
    * His angles were more awkward than he expected
    * He's a better boxer than he expected
    * He has better timing than he expected

    This is important for building predictions for future fights. If Algieri had said his punches weren't as awkward and he didn't punch that hard, then that definitely goes into building a prediction for his fight on May 2nd.
