Matchroom shows far too expensive

Yes but them FACTS don't fit in with forum members vendetta against matchroom

 

I'm paying £48 to sit in 'restricted view' seats on Saturday for the Newcastle show. Considering Anthony Joshua vs Jason Gavern is the biggest fight on the card I feel slightly ripped off.

 

I think there may be a fair few empty seats so you'll hopefully get chance move to a better one

The standard price for a big World Title fight in the UK is £100 for a tier one seat in the centre of the arena.

However, what is happening now is you get charged the same price for Haye v Fury non title fights.

In these circumstances people are being ripped off.

The best way to tackle being ripped off is to never buy a Boxnation subscription, a Sky PPV or a ticket to an event such as Geordie Bore then prices will come tumbling down.

 

Load of rubbish, I've been to SECC in Glasgow for a ****** and Matchroom show.....Matchroom charged £10 less for the same seat.

 

Booking fees are added by the agent handling sales and distribution, not the promoter.

Furthermore, they are easy to avoid. Just buy your tickets directly from the fighters on the undercard.

Boxers are required to shift a number of tickets in order to fight and they're more than happy to sell to anyone if you look them up on Facebook or Twitter.

From what I've seen Frampton tickets (under Cyclone Promotions) was more expensive. £130 for tiered seats in the Odessey Arena is more than a typical Matchroom show.

 

What are you complaining about you get to see the great AJ in his biggest challenge to date a real 50/50 fight.

Think froch groves 1, was 40ish quid for the cheapest ticket, whilst the Birmingham show which is nowhere near as high profile or in demand is the same price, as is leeds and Newcastle

the o2 show looks decent value in comparison to some other shows.
