Inside knowledge? That doesn't make much sense to me. Sparring with a lefty, especially close to the fight, seems counterproductive. I'm not sure how much inside knowledge Ishe could provide and if it would even be enough to be worth sparring with a lefty when you're fighting an orthodox fighter.

It's not about sparring. Take the sparring out, it's about the info he could provide, like a spy would provide information, weaknesses etc that Floyd might have. Maybe Floyd has confined in him about his weak hands getting worse, or maybe Floyd doesn't like a certain way of punching etc. This is just me chatting **** about the personal reasons of why Roach would be interested in tapping Ishe Smith. Certainly wouldn't be for Sparring reasons.

I personally think Roach is making things up. However, if he believes Ishe or anyone else from Mayweather's camp can help Manny win the fight, more power to him. Of course, Mayweather has Ariza in his camp. So even if that is the case, it would seem that the inside knowledge angle cancels each other out.

maybe a southpaw that has sparred Floyd can tell just how Floyd usually reacted and his weaknesses and strengths etc? If Ishe found success in any particular way and what worked and what didnt. :think:huh

Not sure they'd risk Manny taking even a couple of Charlie's 5000psi punches, even with headgear.

Also doesn't the GOAT have a rematch wit 250lb teardrop coming up as he positions himself for a shot at Wilder?
