They're not new, but they used to be his favorites for a while and he just got them cleaned a few days ago.
It wouldn't surprise me either though either if what you claim is BS given your name/previous posts about Kovalev/general trolling. His manager gave an explanation on this, seemed reasonable enough to me...
You mean the person who works for Kovalev does not want people to think that he is racist? Is this real life? No offense, but it really doesn't matter whether you believe me or not. I am not going to spend hours trying to prove to some guy on a forum that I am who I say I am. P.S. You can shoot me a PM in Russian and I'll respond in Russian.
Campillo is shot to ****... no reflexes or punch resistance.. Artur looked good but had nothing he had to worry about ...no incoming punches of note and Campillo stood in front of him...
Here's what he had to say: "Klimas said the word "Negro," which the undefeated puncher used during the Russian-language interview, is still used where Kovalev grew up in Russia "for black people." Klimas said that Kovalev's reference to "dark-skinned people" was an attempt to communicate that, and that it should not be interpreted negatively toward African Americans. "We still use today in Russia, for black people, the word 'Negro,' Klimas said. "So they are trying to make him out to be a racist because of that reference to black people. In the interview, he used the word Negro for black persons. And then, he tried to be polite and to explain it by saying 'dark-skinned people. "That's what he meant. But some stupid reporters are trying to use that information to make Sergey look bad. He is not a racist. He is a nice person and I hate to have to explain that every time that I talk to a member of the media."
That's not the whole story. Among other things, Kovalev also said that he likes the 'sunburnt' people less and less with every day. Here is a quote from Ring TV's interview with Beibut Shumenov: "RingTV.com: What are your thoughts Sergey Kovalev's comments about African Americans? Were they controversial or not in nature, due to the Russian language? In other words, what was your interpretation of what Kovalev actually said?" "Shumenov: I was shocked when I heard about his racist comments that he said in reference about African Americans. There was no misinterpretation or lost in Russian-to-English translation of what he said. He will have to live with the derogatory words that he said in print and video. A lot of my team are African Americans, and they are more than members of my team, they are family to me. They have my back and I have theirs, and I have zero respect for racist views of any kind."
Here is the link to his interview (in Russian): allboxing. ru/archives/2013-08-31_%5Bhour%5D_%5Bmin%5D.html-10 I believe another poster already posted the response from Kovalev's manager.
he probably is racist. everyone is to some extent. guys like holmes, hopkins came right out and state it.
Interesting, that is quite racist if true. Not really all that surprising, I mean it's not like Kovalev is some model human being but it's somewhat strange he holds those views yet works with a black trainer. :huh
