Ustinov is slow and stiff, and Wilder has shown his chin is not the glass many haters like to say it is. We dont know if it iron, but it certainly isnt glass.
How? Ustinov is as tough as the come, and even while slow/plodding has serviceable skills, and his sole loss has come to Pulev a world class HW who's own lone loss was at the hands of Wlad. I don't see how it's so hard to imagine him catching Wilder and knocking him out. He has more than enough power to get it done, and a granite chin of which the likes Wilder has never seen before.
We know it's not iron. Did you not see him on the floor against Sconiers and that Russian CW(looked more like a SMW/LHW to me) in the amateurs?
The ONLY version of Ustinov we know is the fat slob who quit against Pulev. This guy is 270 lbs now, and still has an iron jaw and big power. It don't take a hater to see why Fury backed out of the fight. Usitnov is finally taking his career seriously, and NO ONE will fight him. Monsour turned down 100K and a TV date. What's that say about how the HW division views AU. A win over Ustinov would put Monsour right into a title shot. And he ducked the fight.atsch
Both Ustinov and Thompson are old as hell, younger fighters ducking them is disgraceful, seriously...Wilder is the WBC champ, fight someone decent. We don't want Molina, Charr, Szpilka, Ruiz Jr or whoever else Al Haymon is lining up
Wilder won the title all the way back in Jan, and it's already April and there still isn't a fight lined up yet... I have a feeling we'll see him against a really **** opponent in the summer, and then another in fall/winter. :verysad
Wilder vs. Top 5 Contenders Wlad: L KO5 Povetkin: L PTS Fury: W KO4 Pulev: W PTS Jennings: W PTS Fury and Pulev fights are close calls though. Wouldn't be surprised either way in those. Personally, I'd like to see him against Thompson next.
