If you were Ward would you risk going to Nottingham for a judges decision?

Yes, definitely, Ward has to take those kind of risks, he's not the A side despite being such a talented boxer, but it is what it is. Froch is older now, tho a more polished fighter since their first showdown, but I think Ward knows the fight most likely will go 12, could be why he hesitates to sign the fight. Either way, he needs to do something or just retire.

Exactly. Froch didn't fight in Oakland. Why should Ward go to Nottingham?

Could he get robbed? Yes but it's unlikely, as he was so dominant in the first fight that it's unlikely to be close enough for a few close rounds to make a difference in the result. And even if he does get robbed it would be so blatant that Ward would get a lot of sympathy from fans and it would likely change some fans opinion of him and see him in a more positive light due to this sympathy.

But win or lose the payday available here is just to good to give up. If the fight sells only half as well as Froch's last fight and Ward were to get 75% you are looking at several million dollars and probably more money in one fight that all of Ward's previous fights combined.

And even if the fight ends in a controversial manner it would only mean the rematch would be even more lucrative. The controversy with the Groves match led to the biggest post war gate in UK history, so even a controversial ending has a silver lining.

If Ward had power like Kovalev then yeah hell but he doesn't, the fight will go to full distance, left for the biased Judges to rob Ward.

Ward said his next fight is in June in Oakland, so clearly his talk fighting in UK is all BS.

I wouldn't fight Froch again period. Ward dominated him before and Froch is just looking for an exit payday with little chance of being KO'ed in the process.

if Froch is looking for an exit payday, he will fight Chavez Jr in LV/Texas, not Ward

Dude I'm at work, this is too long. I'm not disputing anything regarding Ward's at home advantage in nearly all of his fights. I'm saying concessions are usually given on both sides, and were I Ward who is clearly getting short money (deservedly), and losing home court advantage, shooting for a neutral ref and 1 or 2 judges is reasonable.
