They had a few quick flurrys at the very end of the first 3 rounds
The rest of the time apart from 1 other knockdown they were just standing there not really landing much.at least 7 very inactive rounds.

 

34 yrs old, been watching fights all my life. I can see where u felt there were quite a few very inactive RDs. I thought there was always the potential for a knockdown, every time they exchanged.

 

I gotta say I had Quillin by a couple of points but I'm glad Andy lives to fight another day.

 

The reason it was exciting for me personally was because of the suspense, because Quillin and Lee both knocked each other down early it set a precedent in the fight that either with a mistake could very well be knocked out. It was interesting watching them both trying to bait and counter each other.

 

He likely would have because he was winning the round other than the knockdown so it could have been 10-9 Lee instead of 10-8 Quillin.

Draw was a fair result. I might have had Lee by a point but can't really argue with the cards

 

I didn't see the fight but 10-8 isn't mandatory. If the guy who gets knocked down was winning the round a 10-9 is fair. A knockdown is supposed to count for one point, the same as winning a round. The 10-8 is usually scored because a knockdown usually goes along with winning a round. If the knocked down fighter dominated 2 minutes and fifty-nine seconds of a round but got dropped on a lucky shot, then it wouldn't be right to make a three point swing in his opponent's favor.

 

I would have to watch again but don't think Lee was dominating the round to make it only 10-9 with the KD for quillin.

What i did notice with the decision that Lee seemed oddly happy with the draw. I think he felt he lost. Where as Quillin wasn't happy with the draw. I think that's the first time i've seen any fighter happy with a draw actually.

Quillin should've went after the finish in round one when he had him legit hurt. He had 20 seconds to capitalize and didn't throw another punch at him until about 5 seconds left. And I was surprised the commentators didn't get on him about that. HBO crew would've been upset for sure at that lol Lee's legs were gone

 

I thought Lee edged it, even with the second knockdown being rather suspect with Quillin standing on his foot.

It was a close fight, I wouldn't have thought it was a terrible decision if it went to either by a point.

 

I had it by a point for Quillin, but that was counting the BS knockdown. So the draw was the right result.

 

This... kinda what happened in the Matthysse vs Garcia fight, in wich Matty was clearly winning the 11th until the weird KD. it eventually decided the outcome of the fight because of that 3 point swing.

 

I had Quillin winning a clear decision but with a lot of close rounds.

Except that a punch landed at the same time, so by rule, it is. Plus, in real speed you can't catch always catch that. Unfortunate, but nothing concrete to prove anything aside from 'bad luck'.
