He'd already beaten the 140lb king in Tszyu (Mayweather was #2, Hatton was #1, at 140) and blew away Pep and Castillo, who took Floyd the distance and troubled him. And had already won the WBA world welterweight title. And brought more fans to Vegas than anyone ever. And gave an American more UK PPV sales than anyone ever (including Tyson, I think?), so, you know?

Anyone who says Khan is not a quality operator clearly just does not like the guy. He has always had talent, that combimed with recklessness, a suspect chin, and a lot of heart have made his career dramatic and exiciting. He is one of the best british fighters of the last 10 years without question.

Khan is a bum no doubt about it, he wouldnt have been a world champ had he not been pampered and protected,

I watched garcia and peterson and it was luke a european title level fight, prescott would have been british level id he was frim here

By world level standards he lost to 3 bums, so obviously khan is a bum too

Top fighters dont lose to guys like prescott and garcia by early KO

khan is like a real life rocky. Bum gets a miracle title shot and goes on to establish himself at world level. Magic.

If establiahing youself at world level is getting beat off C level opponents in garcia and peterson then cherrtpicking non title fights for years..... then rickt burns a 2weight world champ ahould get in the hall of fame

Khan didnt last long as a world champ for a reason, remember that bruvva

ricky burns is a good shout, beating martinez was something that nobody seen happening when ricky was given the chance but to be fair to ricky he took the fight won it and it proppelled him into the world scene.

w arren deserved alot of credit for getting ricky the shot without really beating anyone of note.

If it is not Robinson, then it was Paul Weir.

Yeah people really have it in for Khan. End of the day he is better than you, me and every other poster on this site. If I had a career like Khan to date I would retire a happy man.

guess Weir was untested but in the those tiny weights is no one to fight.

Robinson was 13-9-1 coming off an 8 round decision loss so dont think anyone can really argue against him, just maybe that the WBO was a joke at the time which also goes for Weir

Burns does not deserve a shot against Figueroa.

    Quigg. Even though he drew.
