Cotto trying to drain Geale.... Cotto sat on his title for almost exactly a year all the while ducking GGG, and all other comers. He should be stripped if he doesn't face GGG after this, no funny business, NO CATCHWEIGHTS.
Not a bad fight especially if it is at the middleweight limit. Geale is pretty good but feel like the Golovkin fight pretty much shows his ceiling. Obviously Cotto doesn't have the power to just blast him out of there so should be an interesting match
Where are the catchweight rumours coming from, any sources or links cos I've heard it from a few places but nothing more than rumours yet
ppl like this fight this wow this fight sucks imo and im always defending fights. did geale even have a bounce back win after ggg? .... he better have y is cotto fightin guys comin off losses?
I'm good with this fight. Geale's one of the short list of credible, fight proven MWs out there and it should give us some insight into Cottos true standing in the division. I could see a close UD going either way, but in the unlikely event of Miguel somehow blasting Geale out it'd make the perfect lead in to a potential GGG clash. Should Geale win it'll be abundantly clear that Cotto no way and no how belongs in the ring with Golovkin and might as well vacate and take himself back to 154.
Considering that historically there used to be a fifteen pound variation in middleweight size and Ray Robinson defended the title at 148 a couple of times, I have no problem with a 157 catchweight. Weights barely matter anymore anyway what with all the cutting and rehydrating everybody does.
so ur sayin he makes more money fightin geal then cotto ... how do u figure? ggg deff a bigger payday
If you think 3lbs don't matter you must be crazy. Also if you're using the historical argument you should be outraged that there are so many belts and champions can avoid each other to defend their own versions of a world title
