What has happened to promotion for Mayweather- Pacquiao?

You gents is old school, social media is the largest promotional engine there is today and that's where the fight is being promoted. Big ups to Floyd and TMT because they knew this and is taking full advantage. This fight will break all kinds of records.

 

The actual fight is more important than the promotion.

This fight might not live up to the hype.

 

Doesn't come up more than any other big fight by Mayweather had. Anyone remember Floyd - Canelo pre-fight? Floyd - Pac is supposed to be 10x bigger but somehow it doesn't feel like it is.

we all know we'l be watching it... yes the hype and everything is great in the build up but their only shooting themselves in the foot thinking the casual fans and nobodies are gna pay all that money from viewing a ridiculous 20second tv spot.
i highly doubt this will do the numbers they THINK it will..
world will stop may 2nd? no... the world will carry on as usual.

 

When I was a kid the hype for Tyson - Spinks was a million times bigger. Kids in school were talking about the fight weeks before it happened. If you went to the grocery store you heard people talking about it. On the radio you heard the fight mentioned numerous times a day -- weeks before the fight.

Who is talking about Floyd vs. Pacman? Nobody outside of blogs and forums is talking about this. I am truly disappointed.

 

Guys, boxing as a whole is a niche sport now.

 

TMT is doing a brilliant job, this fight needs 0 hype and needs 0 promotions. Only Pac****s are crying about it. But they are saving millions!!!

 

Everything about this fight screams ''**** the hardcore fans'' to be honest. From the non-existing under-card and high ppv prize to the insane prizes of the tickets.

As for your comment you are right but I'm not going to help them r ape me. Moreover in Europe I will have to pay 100 dollars for a fight that will take place at 5 a.m. and I doubt there is gonna be any bar showing it my town. Boxing is more than Floyd and Pac and I'm tired of their endless shenanigans. First they took 5 years to make the fight while there was not a serious reason to hold it back and now they want to milk the fans even more.

 

Did Tyson - Spinks need a million dollar marketing budget to sell? Why was every casual sports fan on the street talking about this fight? Why is no one talking about Floyd - Pac?
