How did you react when Khan got knocked out by Prescott in 30 seconds?

It was probably on the cards going off some of his previous fights.
Let's face it his defence was rubbish,to be fair to him he was exposed but he's tightened up a lot since then.

Would never have called it pre fight but the second Prescott landed the first jab it juddered Khan and i instantly knew he was gonna get sparked out. His legs were desperately thin back then his defence awful and he wasnt prepared at all for big hitter. The knockout was hilarious tho and fair play to Khan he tried everything to try n get up after the 2nd knockdown.

 

I was shocked at first then just had a quiet chuckle to myself. It was inevitable as we had seen him rocked and dropped by lesser punchers and he wasn't showing any signs of improvement under Oliver Harrison which was Khan's fault for choosing such an ill suited trainer when he had the best trainers in the world lining up to train him when he turned pro.

The thing that surprised me most was how little Prescott achieved afterwards he was basically a journeymen with a padded record when he sparked Khan out.

khan had already been dropped by beterbiev punchers like willie limond

wasnt his fault the media overhyped him like they love to do

on reflection felt sorry for the lad

and the ensuing hate - ironically mostly by Brits - was disgusting

 

wasnt that into boxing at the time but it was hilarious, he was getting so much hype at the time and it was one of the few fights I watched then because they were making such a big deal about him, he looked like he had no idea he could lose.

 

I dont even think people were that keen on him even before the loss, but yeah he just became a joke to people after the loss.

 

Had spent half an hour trying to find a pub that had the fight on in Salou, sat down, 30 seconds later stood up and left.

Thought his career was over, but he turned that around.

 

I could see how the results on paper only could surprise most BUT anyone that watched it saw the destructive bombs that landed perfectly clean on khan chin and Prescott is known for power and nothing else really in the positive light.
