So fights like GGG-Murray are great, you'll tune in but Thurman-Guerrero or Garcia-Peterson are trash? I see.

So, Arum is making his own primetime boxing show? I hope Lomachenko gets a fight on it.

I think this is good for boxing - especially the move away from the spaghetti belts.

Also been good fights we've been treated to already.

I think there's too much PPV in boxing at the moment, and to have some stuff on regular network TV is great. It allows a nice build to PPV events and balances off the expense of being a boxing spectator.

My only concern would be if it's only Haymon fighters - but the fact Andy Lee fought on there at the weekend would suggest that isn't the case.

Makes no difference to me whether it's led by Al Haymon or Al Bundy - so long as it helps boxing flourish, it will be good.

Anyone know why Al is having Degale-Dirrell in Boston, but Lee-Quillin in New York?

Boston is an Irish dominated city, and they go crazy for Irish fighters there. The ufc single handidly rejuvenated themselves by having some Irish kid fight in Boston, who at the time was a complete unknown and fighting on the prelims:

I guess Al isnt this genius everyone thought he was

Quilllen and Garcia were the reasons the fight was in NYC, Quillen lives there and he and Garcia have fought at Barclays a number of times before.

It was actually a pretty smart move because the attendance for Saturday's card was the biggest yet,12,000-13,000 for boxing at Barclays.

Now the Direll-Degale fight being in Boston does seem a bit strange though. I'm assuming there'll be some locals on the undercard but nothing is listed yet.

I always said Haymon's plan could be could for boxing. But Haymon is part of reasons why good fight didn't get made. Boxing fans had the right to not like him for that. The OP just look like a fan boy here. And I loved last PBC. It is great that boxing is getting more mainstream again in the US and it is because of Haymon. Haters were right to hate.
