Quigg brings all the money, yet Frampton won't accept 60/40?

It's clear now that Carl doesn't want it. You don't believe it because you don't want to believe it.

i find it hard to believe frampton 'doesn't want it'. he would be a pretty big favorite over quigg in my eyes.

regardless of that, is he negotiating for himself or are both guys waiting on promoters to negotiate the fight? as with most every boxer, if he has a promoter then you can't blame him for every potential fight not happening today.

 

A cut of the ppv in the purse isn't the same thing as proper revenue sharing.

I dunno what that means but I can't understand why if Carl wanted it he'd turn down the £1.5M offer, despite all the other ins and outs of the story, some of which we're privy to (thanks only to Eddie) and some of which obviously we're not.

Maybe in the fullness of time more developments will happen. Maybe not...

 

Just before the offer Eddie Hearn said the fight makes a minimum of £7 million.
Barry Hearn said Frampton and Quigg can make £2 million each.

So that rules the £1.5 million as a publicity stunt. Why would Frampton accept £1.5 million if he knows he'll make more?

60/40 to the winner? Not really fair considering Frampton is/will:

1. The world champion; which makes Quigg the challenger.
2. Sell the majority of tickets/has a substantially larger fan base.
3. Bringing the majority of PPV buys.
4. Fighting away from home.

Also, the reason people say Frampton has more options in comparison to Quigg is because; Frampton will likely beat anyone in the division (possibly barring Rigondeaux) Quigg won't.

The easiest way out of Hearn should of went with the 1.5 million offer garanteed but if the show makes more from PPV sales give Frampton a cut on the PPV sales too then there is more chance of the fight happening. Frampton will have huge support going to the fight so he deserves to get the best deal. Whats stopping Carl from fighting in the US and setting up a potential fight with LSC then Rigondeaux the fights are out there and I think Carl will travel for the fights.

I just think McGuigan will not be dictated to after some of the issues in his career and at the end of it.

I may well be wrong but it is the impression I'm getting because I think Frampton would fight Quigg quite happily.

 

Carl Froch made £8m from the Groves Rematch. A fight that bought in a revenue of £22 m.
It was financially the biggest fight in British history.

Frampton turning down £2m and a 60/40 split of a fight worth £7m would suggest he's a bigger star and has more drawing power than Froch who sold out 80,000 seats at Wembley Stadium.
What are Framptons PPV earning credentials?

Groves made £2m from a fight that would not have came close to bringing in £22m were it not for him.

The difference between Groves and Frampton is hunger to fight the divisions best.
