freddie with cotto versus floyd would be a good fight. freddies style has made cotto a fun fighter to watch. Floyd could also get another belt at another weight class. If floyd gets by pac this would be a nice farewell fight for him:smoke

If floyd fights at middleweight, fight golovkin and not recycled fight.

A rematch between these two would be nice, but it being for the MW belt at a CW would be a disgrace. I don't have many problems with CW fights, but not when they are for a legit championship. I would give the Cotto that fought Martinez a very good chance against Mayweather at 160.

I am not so sure that Roach has made that much of a difference with Cotto. I would like to see Cotto fight someone like Alvarez before I come to any conclusions.

To people saying golovkin - You are undoubtedly a Pacquiao fan, so you know better than anybody that having a lineal title under your belt looks better on paper and in hindsight than an alphabet title. Cotto is a safe path to the lineal title at middleweight, as Cotto, while a good fighter, has been proven to not be able to really beat Mayweather. Mayweather may have slowed down, but he's not Sergio Martinez after knee surgeries. Beat Pac, win the lineal title at Middleweight, retire. Good end to a great career.

GGG is undoubtedly the better win, but Cotto is the 160 pound champion. Why fight a contender when you can fight the man, especially when it's a way easier fight?

It won't be, and it would water down the lineal middleweight championship even more.
If Cotto fights Geale at Middleweight instead of a catch weight, I think he won't even have a belt left to defend anyway.

Cotto is fighting Geale then Canelo if he wins.

Mayweather is retiring (until he blows his money) for a couple of years.

How about we just focus on May 2? The biggest fight of his life is coming up.
